Bring your appetite... but not your guns.

That's the message from Chipotle after a social media campaign after gun rights activists openly displayed their assault rifles inside one of its restaurants in Dallas this past weekend.

Hungry for company? There's an App(lebee's) for that

The next time you settle in to an Applebee's for a beer and some queso blanco, you may be struck with the urge to speak with one of your fellow patrons. But, instead of just turning to the booth behind you, or (gasp!) walking up to a nearby table full of strangers, why not use an app?

“What’s Applebee's” (a play on What’s App, the target of a recent $19 billion Facebook acquisition) advertises itself as the latest hot new social network. The app allows you to connect with other Applebee’s fans around the country.

But this is a highly exclusive network; you must be physically inside an Applebee’s to use it. Think of it as a virtual red velvet rope.

Delivery biz dislikes paid Facebook placement, breaks up

A food-delivery website is parting ways with Facebook in a snarky "breakup" letter. And Facebook, like spurned lovers through the ages, is telling the cheeky startup not to let the door hit it on the way out.

Eat24, based in San Bruno, California, lets users enter their address to find restaurants that will deliver to them. They then select a restaurant and order online.

The site has more than 70,000 "likes" on Facebook. But last week, it announced it just wasn't that into the social media giant anymore.
