Ronald McDonald has a new coif and a jaunty red blazer. But a makeover won't help much when he gets in front of some angry franchise owners at the McDonald's Worldwide Convention in Orlando this week. Franchise owners don't appear happy with the company's management in Oak Brook, Ill. Competition is heating up, especially at breakfast, and sales are hurting. Yum! Brands' Taco Bell just fired a salvo with the "Waffle Taco." Starbucks, KFC, Subway and even White Castle are now going after the morning crowd with new offerings. Ronald McD looks like someone straight out of 1985 in those duds. Care to break dance, anyone?
I can't believe grown ups are still going to these grease palaces for their 'food'. There are SO many other normal real food choices yet people persist in eating poison (yes it will kill you eventually).
No one ever said humans were intelligent. Oh, actuslly they did, but it is to laugh.
Congratulations on being so full of yourself. That's quite an accomplishment considering what you had to work with.
In my country the government has given permission for fast food franchise owners to hire "temporary" foreign workers to their heart's content. McDonalds has gladly taken advantage of this by running restaurants with virtually no locally-born workers.
We have stopped eating at McD's altogether.
Used to eat there a lot.
Got tired of COLD fries about 40% of the time & missing/wrong items in the sack about 30% of the time.
Multi-tasking window clerks can't do it.
Hardees, nuf said.
Starbux started their Frog pastry recently. McD's has nothing to worry about. If McD's would fix their inconsistent coffee issues, they could give SB a good run for their money.
In the Greater New York area, at least, Mc D's is snowing the competition down with advertising.
At any rate, if I eat breakfast at a chain, it's at a Panera's. Nothing else remotely tempts.
...Because Chic-Fil-A is going to put them all under...
Noooooo it's not. One dimensional meals with soggy waffle fries.
