Good morning, from a cold NY. 15 degrees right now and that doesn't count wind chill. Please, please can't it be spring?

In other news of the world, there's a news item making its way around about a taxi cab driver in NYC who thinks its just a hoot to film his passengers' reaction to his albino python snake that he lets freely roam inside of his cab. If I ever got into that cab and saw that, he'd need a new cab after I destroy the old one getting out. He should lose his hack license, IMHO.

I heard about that on the news last night. Creepy! Evidently, he's writing a book on how to get over your fears. Somehow, I don't think this is going to help. Lol!

Next time you are in DC (we know you come her and yes we are tracking you) you have to check out a new restaurant in my hood. Tagged best in the city currently – Rose's Luxury lives up to it. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

So after the raunchy Mardi Gras party the squirrels recently had in my BBQ, I decided it was time for an upgrade and bought a new one. Got a 4 burner, 48,000 BTU bad-boy with 690 square inches of cooking (yup that much Alee) and a side burner to boot. Putting the thing together soon and then will be testing it out.

Been there, done that. That's at least a 4 beer assembly process. Mine's about the same size. I never thought I'd use the side burner much, but it's seen plenty of use. Particularly handy for boiling the Brats' in beer before they go on the grill. Damn, now I'm hungry.......

my bad. I was prepping my smoker for a major spring smoke out. My neighbor called the gas company but they made a mistake by stopping by my place first for a wake and bake. The good news is the BBQ is all good. The block party is still on – if you can reach it.

      March 13, 2014 at 10:53 pm |
      • SUJ

I say this with deep sarcasm because this gas leak was reported early last week and then by several people last Tuesday. The gas company said they had a crew on the way to investigate.
The Gas company should be charged with the deaths and destruction. I am angry that was treated so nonchalantly.
It's like stop lights in my neck of the woods. The county says three people have to die at an intersection before they'll put up a traffic light. The New York City gas company – same thing except three buildings have to be blown up before they'll replace corroded pipes.
