well, well, well. Don't know if I'd call it an epic meltdown, but a meltdown nonetheless. Somehow, I think we both knew it was going to come down to this. See ya in Seattle Bro!
Seattle better bring their lube.
Oh they'll bring it alright........
This is shaping up to be a real barn-burner. Gotta say-Newton looks to be on fire....
Good thing he doesn't play for Chicago. They place already burnt down once.
Good Sunday Morning….Let's take a look at the Footyball Standings, Shall We ??
A Perfect 2-0 so far….
Truth
RC
RH
And tied for Second at 1-1
Mary The Shark Shannon
Jdizz.
Todays 40 Whiner game could be the turning point.
Dang–Forgot to place Sir Biddle in the second place class. :))
And she falls to 1-2. Sigh.
We are Professionals at this, plus we strap on an extra large pillow to break the fall. :))
2-2 for the weekend. I'll take it.
So THAT'S where my pillow went! Sir Bid & RC had some pretty rough landings this weekend without it. Rich, I hope you took out the "party favor" before strapping it on.
One for me. The second is in danger but theres still another half. :-)
Who Dat on the LONG flight home ?
HOOOWEEE!!! Dat be NOLA! But holy crap, what a game! I was a little worried about a meltdown though....
Great game, though like you, I worried about a meltdown...looks like Indy is putting iodine fight...
Yeah. Da m it
Got to say bro, your Hawks look great under rough conditions...Mazel Tov!
...
Thanks Bro! So far so good:)
It was overcast last night, snowing today, so I didn't/won't get a chance to see auroras.
Solar Flares are approaching Earth-cover Uranus with tin foil. You may now return to your regular Eatocracy.

Sleep is Soooooo overrated, cuz the Squirrel will never get the Nuts. I understand through the rumor mill that Tony Bourdain will be opening up a New Fresh Market in Manhattan–something you will write about I hope, and also frequent?
Good morning all, and Happy Friday. Lots of work planned for the weekend. I hate this time of year.

Good morning and Happy Friday!!! Woke up to a surprise 2 inches of snow this morning. Tomorrow is expected to be in the 50's with lots of rain. Who can keep up with all these weather changes?
Anyone have any good weekend plans? I've got a birthday party for my 13 year old "bonus niece" tomorrow afternoon, but other than that, it will be football watching. Any predictions for the games?
I'm going with Seattle, Colts, Panthers (sorry JDizz) and Broncos.
My plans include SLEEP (I hope). It's been a crazy, crazy, crazy week with my anxiety article publishing and the amazingly warm response. I need to sit back and process and just...be grateful.
Hope all of you are so well and happy and warm.
Going with the same except for the 9'ers. Don't think Carolina has it in them.
I'm going with all of Mary The Sharks picks accept–NE over the Indianapolis Dolts. The 40 Whinners are going down.
DOHHHH–should be except--BRAIN PHART….
Seattle over New Orleans, 21-14
New England over Indy 35-21
Carolina over SF 21-20
Denver over San Diego 145-3
And He's Still the Smartest Man in the room. Git your popcorn ready with REAL Butter. :))
I like your picks except-wow, no love at all for SD?
South Dakota ?? Roger Maris was the only good thing from that State. :))
I'm from Denver, where the Broncos are pretty much a religion. I like Rivers, but his backup band is somewhat lacking. I also think that Manning and company are going to still be exorcising the ghosts of last year's playoff loss that they will be extremely up for Sunday.
Ha! Ya got me there.....
I'm ex-from San Diego, so the Chargers used to be my team. But I agree with you, I don't think they have enough intestinal fortitude to beat Denver at home. Here in Seattle, the 12th man phenomenon is in full swing. Can't wait for NOLA tomorrow!

WAKE UP YOU SLACKERS……It's Friday.
Grilled cheese anyone?
You've Got Mail……What kinda cheese?
Nope, no mail...you have to hit the 'send' button. ;) A processed cheese product that start with a V. :D
Yes there is…I licked the stamp myself. I'll pass on the grilled cheese,Thank You tho.
Back at ya.
TAG, Your it. :))
buff knuckle: n
Synonym: doofus, dingus, igit, numbnuts or other derogatory, name-calling term.
Example: "You broke my tube bender, you buff knuckle!!"
Woe to the Buff Knuckle (WOD) who gets on the wrong side of the Blog Dominatrix...
I am LM AO, AleeD. I would add "ig-nit ." For trolls, anyway...
What's the next home improvement project?
Always happy to please – or not – as the case may be. ~_~
Thanks for asking (you're such a doll). We're probably going to repaint the guest bath next. The patchwork of paint samples is starting to get to me. ;) Hubby & I need to work on a few issues in the dungeon before we get started on that little project.
How's tings with you? Last I remember about Pops you moved him somewhere ... ?
Good for you tackling those improvement projects. Pops sold his house and moved him in with me. Been about a year. I'm taking half a day today. Take care!
What would the definition of "knuff buckle" be then? :D
That's truckers' slang for a huge belt fastening device:
"Dang, Rich! Ya think that's knuff buckle for ya? What're ya compensating for anyway?"
LMAO over here!
If it ain't tight, It ain't right. JBJ will be there tomorrow--alert the Authorities.
Duuuuuude! She told me she was packin' extra Velveeta for the trip. Better watch your fiber intake while she's there!
[More importantly, have fun you two!}
Happy New Year Klatch! I know its 9 days late and everything, but how is everyone?
Scarce – but the imPOtent people are here. How were your holidays?
It was very Noice! The FIL was not that bad, but I also drank a lot of bourbon and Tom & Jerrys, so that helped too. What about chu?
The New Year was good, but I am sick to death of hearing about MJ...Glad the cold snap is abating for most of us as well. AleeD has a new toy in the dungeon as well that I am sure she will be trying on you soon...
Glad to hear that you and yours got through as well. Holidays can be hard.
Ha! The MJ took me a second. Micheal Jackson, Michael Jordon....dohhh The chronic. I don't partake so I wasn't quick on that one. Has Jdizz moved in with you yet? Look out for a U-Haul with Wisconsin plates.
Love to hear about Alee's new toy...do tell!
MJ isn't my thing either, so I don't understand all the hoopla, but JDizz and TWO are making bids to subdivide the garage. Just need to add a ventilation system. I am getting sick of all of the "rocky mountain high" jokes...
Ask Alee about her Tubing bender...Word is she has already worn the first one...
Turns out the mandrel broke again but we haven't learned to keep a spare. (insert eye roll here) We were considering having them made of wood....
I hate when that happens...
Maybe a Fleshlight would help you see things differently.
Still alive and kickin'. Glad to hear you survived the FIL. and yes-booze helps:)
@ Kat Kinsman For whatever reason my comment won't post. Too long maybe, I'm certainly not using bad words. LOL! I'll make it short and see what happens. After numerous emails to CNN and no luck, I'm going to ask you. (cause you seem like a caring person). Why doesn't the marquee blog have a "Kat Kinsman"? It's so out of hand there. Those of us who enjoy blogging can't due to the trolling and all the dating sites and that rant and rave troll. (that's what we call this person) Could you, would you take, a moment to see what I'm talking about and maybe contact the proper person who could address this problem? I'm so frustrated, even when this person steals our names and uses them on This Just In they get deleted. Most everyone has quit posting on the marquee. It's a shame. Sorry to take so much space (I know I said I'd keep it short. LOL!) in your lounge. Please, can you help?
Okay, Kat. What do you think?
Production is shutdown due to lack of raw materials plus one of our tubing benders is broken. Our internal network is down due to a catastrophic loss of power at the plant this morning. Complete shutdown of all but emergency lights – except the ones in engineering. *snicker*
You know the worst part? I couldn't find my coffee in the dark! 0_o
*snicker*...tubing bender...
Sounds like something you would use in the dungeon...

Opening week had dispensaries with lines three hours long. Keep those tax dollars coming in folks...
CNN is reporting a "staggering gap" between the academic abilities of college athletes and their peers.
In other news, water is wet, and tonight is widely expected to be dark.
You may return to your regularly scheduled Eatocracy...
LUV those exotic hard-to-understand inferences! Keep 'em coming!
Is it Spring yet? All tho, we've warmed up to -8 degrees. Woo-hoo!
It's sad when you wake up and think, "Hey, it's -15 degrees, not bad!! A high of 2 today, ALRIGHT!!!"
lol
Hmmm....46 here this morning and surprise-it's raining.
Kat, I really appreciated your article on anxiety. I can relate to some of the points you brought up, but certainly not to the extent that you're experienced. You're a very brave woman to write the soul-baring articles that you produce, and you absolutely inspire me!
One of the things that jumped out of the article to me was the brain zaps. I had been on anti-depressant meds for menopause related issues for a while, and an uncaring doc decided that "I've been on them too long" and stopped me...cold turkey. I went through the zaps for 3 weeks, not just in my brain but in my whole body. I thought there was something wrong with my neurological system, having Parkinson's in my family, but after some research found that it is a common side effect of withdrawal.
Keep up the good work, Kat!!
Thank you so much for reading it. I honestly think the more people who talk about it, the better for everyone. And oooof - those zaps. I would like to go the rest of my life without ever feeling one again.
Good morning all, on a day that is as cold as a mother in law's kiss...Seems the entire country is experiencing record lows, except my for home state of Colorado, which since last week has been experiencing record highs.

Good Morning Everyone…It's January 8th and You know what that means-–HAPPY BIRTHDAY to THE KING !! It's Elvis Birthday ( I'm snarling my lip as I write this ) and I'm craving a Peanut Butter and Nanner sammich. Keep your eye out for him today.
Why, Thank Ya, Thank Ya, vera much!
I hear he's been seen in Vegas.
Yup, would've been 79. My Mom still loves him. Lol!

My reply's aren't showing up again. To answer your question, an hour east of Minneapolis, western Wisconsin
Wow. I couldn't imagine trying to go about my daily life in that kind of cold. Have you thought about installing a block heater on the Jeep?
They're not in the queue, so I'm not sure what's going on.
Seems to be mostly on replies, though posting is sometimes effected.
and apparently mostly early in the day, lol
Good morning all, and my condolences to those living in the icebox right now. Denver has a balmy 34 right now. Was actually warmer this morning than at bedtime last night. Supposed to hit almost fifty later today, so hopefully that will be moving east.
Sending this out in the thought of wishful thinking...One of my favs...

3 degrees here with a wind chill of -13. Expected high of 11 with windchills of -15. Yippee. Polar vortex be gone!
I'm also trying to convince others that we need a new year's resolution to not do early conference calls, like the one I'm on right now. Anyone else have this problem?
No' me, man. Why do they need to conference this early in the a.m? Are they calling from E-rope?
Not this particular call, its mostly US based people. I think its more a case of the person scheduling the call being a morning person and so things are set to their clock.
You were at least able to keep your woolies on, right? I'm hoping for the sake of your comfort that it wasn't a video call. Bring on the coffee!
A balmy 40 on the way in to work this a.m. Windchill drops it into the 20's & 30's. Niiiiiiiice. :(
However, there's no snow in the forecast. ^_^
Hey all! Taking advantage of being stuck inside to check in with this rowdy group. We've got a foot of snow and we're at -15 with a wind chill of -40. Thank goodness for heat and electricity! Stay warm and well everyone!
Great to "see" you. How is everyone?
My lunch in three words: Thai Food Truck...
And to think that I was the kid who hated to try new foods when growing up...
Hello everyone! Hot cocoa for all on this rotten day. (for most of us, anyways. Lol)
@ JBJingles & RC, I got a txt from my friend this morning! It said, "Thank you for caring & how about coming over for coffee one day soon"? WOW! That's huge! Had to tell you because I know you were concerned, as well. :)
Eggcellent news! This is a good first step for them to reach out...
That's awesome news! Wishing the best:)
Interesting story out of Rolling Stone...

Soooo glad to not be living in Arizona:
http://www.people.com/people/article/0,,20772444,00.html
wow....had no idea bout this.
I'm FROM Phoenix but live in southern Cal these days. Just as well, I think.
Photo caption: "Camping in the living room is OK when the temp outside is below zero.... Especially when you're a kid from Phoenix!"
-25 F this morning. Needless to say Jdizz needed a jump. And I even had it idling at midnight last night.
I was supposed to fly to Indy this morning where it is -15. Luckily my flight got cancelled and I couldn't get re-booked! Working from the balmy DMV.
Oh, lawd. -60 windchills tonight. I'm gonna have to get up every couple hours and start the Jeep for a bit to avoid another morning of dead battery. =(
Good Lord! Where are you that's it's that cold. I couldn't function. Last time it got below 20 here, I wouldn't leave the house.
Today's high is .... right now @ 63. We will drop to 36 by 6pm. Woo *shiver* hoo.
26 degrees in Katy and even colder tomorrow morning. Brrrrrr--Guess I'll have to find a Nanuke of the North jacket for Big Blue.
Saturday was -5, high of 18. This morning it is 55 with the expected low of 6. Tomorrow's high is expected to be 14. All this change is crazy!!!
Anyone have a fun weekend?
Woke to five below. During the drive to the office went from three to nine according to the car's temp gauge. A little brisk, to be sure...
CYSMAO?
I have business colleagues coming to town later this month, and they were asking things to do in their off hours. I suggested dispensaries or the National Western Stock Show...January is a slow month out here...
If I got a client in Colorado, I would probably just end up never leaving :)
I'm surprised at how many people are "new users". Of the two MMJ dispensaries that I know turned recreational, there are hours-long lines to get in. I didn't think it would be that big a deal, since it was fairly readily available before if you knew where to look.
Good thing out pal up there has his toasty sleeping bag!
High was about 51, low will be 5-9 tonight.
I think you're close by me, based on the temps you have been reporting.
Albany, NY
75* here, please warm up FL for me AleeD, I'm heading that way next weekend...
Warm up? Let's see .... high for the weekend will be 79, low around 63 with 10% chance of rain. Will that do? ;)
I just don't understand why, around this time of year, Florida is where the snowbirds come to roost. :)
Why thank you! That will do just fine, light packing
