Wow. What. A. Game.
Holy crap! I was born, raised and lived my whole life in San Diego County until 6yrs ago when I moved to Wa. so the Chargers were my home team. I keep forgetting how good Philip Rivers is. Sorry Bengals, but you just got outplayoffed!
Now I'm looking forward to kicking a$$ on the Saints. Go Hawks!!!
Feel my Biceps--I'm going Long to my tight end.
What an unbelievable meltdown from the Chiefs.
@ Turth , I was right on the pick, until the game was is Alex Smith's hands.
How Cold is it ???
High of 71 here, but Turth™ is expecting 123 inches! Someone may want to call an ambulance. ~_~
Are we at the 4 hr. mark yet ??
It's been 6, doctor. Should I rub the afflicted area before administering the shot?
Please?
Only supposed to take one of those blue pills at a time......
Up to 22. Started at 6:30 am at -5. Yuck
I love all the community being built on here!
Gods, it's cold. Gods, there's a more-than decent amount of snow (my house got about 6.5", other areas nearby got over a foot).
I have homemade chicken biriyani in my new lunch gadget. It's something new I picked up and my best friend swears by for lunch... a 20 oz portable Crock-Pot (http://www.crock-pot.com/specialty/for-lunch/SCCPLC200-G-NP.html for details).
How's everyone?
Ok folks, time for football picks, especially for those who will be shut-ins this weekend.
You heard it here first:
Indy over KC
PHI over NOLA
CIN over SD
and
GB over SF (sorry JDizz)
Chiefs
Eagles
Bengals
Niners
You have all home field teams winning?
Ahh how quickly the spirit of the season fades away. I just went out to move my car for the plows, and noticed that across the parking lot, someone had moved their car into a space right beside the visitors spaces to allow for plowing. With the snow on the ground, you can't see the markings so they probably didn't realize.
Well, the owner of the space went to the trouble, in the snow, to stick a pole into the ground in front of the space, with yellow construction paper and big bold letters saying "THIS IS NOT A VISITORS SPACE, PLEASE MOVE". I guess the time of peace on earth and goodwill to men is over for the year. Sigh.
Interesting story about the ACA...

.. WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY... ... WIND CHILL WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SUNDAY TO NOON CST TUESDAY...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN GREEN BAY HAS ISSUED A WIND CHILL WARNING... WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SUNDAY TO NOON CST TUESDAY. A WIND CHILL ADVISORY HAS ALSO BEEN ISSUED. THIS WIND CHILL ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY.
* WIND CHILL VALUES... 20 TO 35 BELOW ZERO SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. 40 TO 55 BELOW ZERO SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING.
* OTHER IMPACTS... EXPOSED SKIN COULD FREEZE WITHIN 5 TO 10 MINUTES.
It's pretty much the entire state over the next 4 days.
Your boys better bring their long johns.
Everyone acts like GB players will be immune and running around in gym shorts while Niners can't move cause Momma put on too many sweater. LOL. Victory shall be ours
Whoever Seattle ends up hosting next week will be welcoming in a banged up and bruised team after this Sunday's weather
I think they're counting on it.
YIKES! "EXPOSED SKIN COULD FREEZE WITHIN 5 TO 10 MINUTES"
I guess I won't tell you that we hit 80* yesterday, 77* today...oops just did. :) Seriously, be careful it sounds dangerous!
An alien planet! Southern California and ARIZONA are where it's at! I'd rather need oven mitts for the steering wheel in August than freeze to death!
Florida doesn't $uck either.
My worry would be my beer freezing!!!!!
All I can say is….The 40 Whiners will be looking for an open fire to unthaw some frozen chestnuts.
Good morning all, and Happy Friday!
How is everyone doing today, especially our East Coasters? Everyone come through the storm ok?
So far, so good. There's about 5-6 inches of snow on the ground now, but its still snowing, lightly. Temps are bad, its 3 degrees now, with the "feels like" temp of -17. The snow is very light, so hopefully clearing it will be easier. We'll see.
It's Snowmageddon--a brisk 27 degrees in Katy this morning. :))
Tonight's forecast low is -12; and that's the real temp not including wind chill. Yuck yuck yuck
We're supposed to get one to three tomorrow. Nothing to get excited about...
This explains a lot!

My toilet faces South, I have to straddle it to crap
Maybe you should change your Propane Tank ??
Actually, I made a nice T-bone for dinner last night in -6 degrees. Seems to have some gas left, lol. MEAT
Use the Fireplace matches===and watch out for Frezzer Burn on the cheeks. 😱
Stock up your munchies?
It's been all over the news here. Not my thing really, but I am sure the tax revenue will be welcome.
Yeah. It breaks down like this: it's legal to buy it, it's legal to own it, and, if you're the proprietor of a hash bar, it's legal to sell it. It's still illegal to carry it around, but that doesn't really matter 'cause... get a load of this: if you get stopped by the cops in Amsterdam, it's illegal for them to search you. I mean, that's a right the cops in Amsterdam don't have
I must be banned. 25% of my posts actually show up.
Off to the Niners forums for the day, I guess.
So of course this one shows up.
Good afternoon! I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year's Eve/Day. And if you're in the Northeast, like me, are prepared for the snow storm now ongoing.
New Jersey transplant who grew up in Buffalo, NY. I'm used to heavy snow storms, though it's been about 40 years since I lived there. Planning on making a huge pot of 5 Alarm Chili and cheesy/jalapeno cornbread tonight.
Meatloaf and macaroni & cheese tomorrow. Pulled Pork and Cowboy taters on Saturday. Breakfast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Sunday. Comfort food all weekend!
Staying home tomorrow and watching the snow fall.
What time is dinner ?? :))
^this
I'm with Richard! Tonight our plan is for "Mexican" which in our household means build your own burritos, and I'm picking up the stuff to make Sengalese chicken spicy peanut butter soup/stew tomorrow. We're still planning out the rest of the menu.
I think KAT might still have some pig ears,Duck Heads and Feet available.
Yum! Hope you made enough for everyone!
Tonight-a big pot of chile verde and cornbread.
Let it be written…..Let it be so.
Yup, just got back from a trip out into the snowy world. Not too bad yet, but they really need to get better with the road maintenance. I crossed over from one town to another and you could see (and feel) the difference in the snow/ice removal.
Maybe beef braciole for tonight and chicken chili for tomorrow night.
Let's be careful out there.
Good morning, and Happy 2014 to all. In local news, we are waiting for Hercules to arrive this evening and he'll be around until tomorrow. Happy happy, joy joy......NOT.
This storm has me more stressed out than normal because I've got movers lined up to move some of Dad's stuff from his home to his new assisted living facility...on Saturday morning. I haven't got a great level of confidence that the snow removal service will get it done, and if not, I'll be learning how to run a snow thrower tomorrow afternoon!!!
I never make resolutions, but this year is different. I have seen what stress does to my health, the MS in particular this last year and it ain't pretty...so this year I resolve to be kind to myself, put my happiness first, and manage stress better. Wishing you and your family a stressless 2014!
This was supposed to be in response to Mary Shannon, but it didn't go there... :)
It's a wonderful sentiment none the less. Thank you.
Regardless, THANKS!!
LET'S PAAAAAARTY !!!!! No ???? OK, coffees on and I've got Black eyed peas with ham and bacon for your heads. :))
YUMMMMM Happy New Year my BFF!
Good morning all and Happy New Year. Will be VERY glad to see 2013 in the rearview.
My hopes for 2014...Civility will come back into style. That people will learn to treat each other with a little more kindness. That disagreements can be solved without one side calling the other a "hater", a "bigot" or a "bully". That we may see each other as allies rather than compet!tion. That we may strive to help each other up rather than tear down. That we may leave the next generation something other than debt and a more bleak future.
Many thanks to all in the Klatch, and to our always faithful and ever present moderators. You all bring a little something to my day, whether it is a laugh, a suppressed tear or two or some good food for thought (no pun). We've opined, we've politicized (imagine that), we supported, and have sometimes even met in person. For that I am grateful to each of you.
I have no idea what was intended when the CK took shape not too many years ago, but I think it safe to say that all expectations were surpassed. By a very wide margin.
Best to each of you!
What a wonderful post. I most whole-heartedly agree. Happy New Year to you!
Dittoed Dittoes! Love you from afar! (((HUGS!)))
I want to Thank My Brother Truth for putting into words something I've been trying to say for years. You nailed it My Brother. As we look forward to a New Year,I remember a quote from a children's book that I'm sure we All have read, and it is a quote that I sent to JBJingles today. I did this because she is an inspiration to us all…..
As Christopher Robin said to Winnie the Pooh, " Promise me you'll always remember: You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
With that, I say…Happy New Year Family. Be Safe Everyone.
I 2nd and 3rd what you said my friend and a special thanks to you for your support, and especially to RH, I'm not sure how I would have got through the last two years without him...he was there for me when no one else was. OK, that is making me cry now. btw, my aunt is doing very well now, she moved to AZ to live with mom in April, which is a huge relief for me to have someone in the house with her. Again, I thank you and RH, and everyone who posts here (well, the nice ones) for the laughs and company when I sometimes feel alone. I always know I can come here and friends are welcoming. Hugs to all and Happy New Year!
I know I'm still a nOOb here and I don't really know all about your situation, but I know when thoughts and prayers are needed and you have mine. ((HUGS)).
I'm noober & know nothing. You're, also, in my thoughts. I have a friend with MS & she has avoided all of us, her friends. I don't know why. Must be her way of dealing? She has turned into a hermit. Won't answer her door, open blinds, answer phone...nothing. She will txt & that's it. There's nothing we can do. So sad. I'm glad you have such good friends here. :)
Good Morning or afternoon depending on where your at. JBJ belongs to a Support Group Blog and I'll contact her tonight and post the URL so you can send it to your friend. She seems to be suffering from severe depression which is very common with this type of diagnosis…….Talking to others can be a Great help. I've always said JBJ is the Strongest woman I know…..and that is a fact. Stress is something that causes flare-ups with MS,yet JBJ is always so up beat about Life and Happiness. It always makes me stop and think. Enjoy your New Year.
Thank you RichardHead! I hope she will check it out. She won't take our help. To top it all off, she has a grown daughter with Downs Syndrome & no father to help. Very worrisome!
Btw, Happy New Year everyone!
Thanks for the positive thoughts all! TNT, MS hits different people in different ways, but depression is defintely a big one, the meds don't help with that either. Your friend should talk to her doctor, or maybe a family member could reach out to the doc...it could be the meds, but maybe more.
I was going on this blog when first dx two years ago, but then I thought that reading some of the stories here was manifesting into symptoms for me...but it is a good support group.

Sneaky Girl…….Did you remember the Boxing Gloves ??
Thank you so much, JBJingles! I will txt this to her & hope she checks it out. Very kind of you to help out a stranger. :) You too, RichardHead!
You are Welcome….Yet since you are a Noobie-( where did that come from )-Rule # 1-NEVER say your Sorry, and Don't Thank Us for taking care of Family. Except for Jdizz-He's Special. :))
Never say sorry, no thanks necessary to family, JDizz is special, TootsDay, TurdsDay, no touching toys in the dungeon for noobies...got it. Lol!
I did txt that to her, no response. :(
1st, I forgot to add in our New Year love fest to welcome out new friends! We've lost a few regulars this last year and welcome you to the family! :)
TNT – You are a fast study! Tootsday, Turdsday, AND Jdizz is pecial, very good indeed.
Please see if you can reach a family member for your friend to intervene with the doc...that worries me, depression is more serious than most people thing. What a nice friend you are for helping, keep trying please...
"I have no idea what was intended when the CK took shape not too many years ago, but I think it safe to say that all expectations were surpassed. By a very wide margin."
This warmed my heart today. Thank you!
Sending thoughts and prayers out to Michael Schumacher. In a medical induced coma after a skiing accident. Don't know if any of you are F1 fans, but I've been following this mans incredible career since the '80s. 7 time world champion-an icon for sure.
The STIG is in a coma?! OMG! Thank you for the info, RC.
Thoughts and prayers going out to him and his family!
Merry New Years Eve everyone. Wishing you all happiness and prosperity in the coming year. One of my fondest memories about the year gone by was joining the Klatsch. Thanks for having me! Stay safe and enjoy whatever you have planned:)
(((HUG)))
You, too, and we're glad you're here!
It's been a pleasure to see you being had ... no wait ... aw heck, the pleasure's been ours kind sir! ~_~
Aw-{blush}. Thanks again, all!
Happy New Year, everyone! Be safe and have fun tonight.
Me, not so much a fan of NYE. I hope to be sleeping soundly at midnight and dreaming of a much better 2014.
Any one making any resolutions?
Happy New Year to you and the Furries Ms. P--I resolve to set off Fireworks outside your back door and to limit my use of the word AZZHAT except when applicable. :))
Just this:

WTH?
Happy, almost, New Year everyone! I will be good tonight & I won't steal any cabs. Tonight I have a "dd" so that won't be nessecary. :)
@Jdizzle Stapled? Ouch! Lol!
Happy New Year 'Sista…..I am on a quest to find a Ham Hock to throw in my Black-Eyed Peas for tomorrow. Gonna simmer them suckers all day long. Have a Safe and Wonderful New Year.
Ummmmm-I said Ham HOCK, Not Ham bone--but I will raise you a BIG Salami. How many cards do you want ?
touche'
Hm. Must be that gutter gene I've been nurturing all these years. Ah well, if you can't find a good hock, you now know where to find a good bone ... r.
I wanted to stop by and wish everyone a very Happy New Year! Goodbye 2013, you won't be missed...
Happy New Year BFF….
:))
I concur with you, JB – good riddance to 2013. A Safe & Happy New Year to all.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, everyone! I won't be able to post tomorrow and wanted to wish you all the healthiest and happiest New Year. May 2014 be all we wish it to be.
Happy New Year back 'atcha Ms.A. May you and Sophie have a Fantastic year.
Ok folks, here are my predictions for the coming year. I have a talent for these things...
– A politician will get caught in a secks scandal. Twitter, FB or some other form of social media will exacerbate the situation.
– A Kardashian will do and/or say something outrageous and the media will give it rapt attention and coverage.
– A tragedy will occur in the US involving loss of life. Political hacks from BOTH sides of the aisle will use it to push their views on gun control.
– A professional athlete will sign a contract for an otherworldly amount of money. Performance will be optional.
– A celebrity will come out and the media will claim them to be inspirational to all. A Christian will proclaim their faith and be lambasted for it.
– An alum of Saturday Night Live will make a horribly bad movie.
– Healthcare in America will become more complicated.
– Political attack ads will turn unusually ugly before the 2014 election.
Well folks, there you have it! Happy New Year!
How DO you do that? It's simply AMAZING!!!! :)
SHAMWOW-He's STILL the Smartest Man in the Room. Happy New Year Bro'.
WELL DONE! Me? I'd have NEVER guessed about these things SO CORRECTLY! (Wish I could move to Tahiti....)

Unfortunately a cucumber does not have quite the same effect on the libido as the nutrients in the carrot! But it obviously is as effective as a mental stimulator!
Brother, can you spare a dime...?
Due to salary cap problems,I can only offer a nickel. Besides, my new face lift is scheduled for tomorrow.
BLACK MONDAY!!!!
With the Holidays upon us I would like to share a personal experience with my friends about drinking and driving.
As you may know some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends. Well, two days ago I was out for an evening with friends and had several cocktails followed by some rather nice red wine. Feeling jolly I still had the sense to know that I may be slightly over the limit.
That's when I did something that I've never done before – I took a cab home. Sure enough on the way home there was a police road block, but since it was a cab they waved it past. I arrived home safely without incident.
This was a real surprise as I had never driven a cab before, I don't know where I got it and now that it's in my garage I don't know what to do with it.
Happy New Year!
Haven't heard that joke in a long time!
I had never heard that one before. I think you should share some jokes! :)
Here's a Jdizzle classic for you:
Why did the frog cross the road?
'Cause it was stapled to the chicken
Lol! Ya definitely got me with that one!
Mission accomplished! Lol!
Well, look who's making a visit this weekend?
It ain't easy being Cheesy, but you will be playing in my backyard. Muuwauhahahahahahah. Go Pack.
I think you are going to have your hands full by then just keeping up with demand for your product in Colorado...Just sayin.
Doritos are better, duuuuude.
I would say Cracker Jacks but, it's not Baseball season,soooo-–Screaming Yellow Zonkers for the Win.
Orange lips,tongues and fingers.Finger Fighting=SAVAGERY .
Moderated–Seriously….Dudette, Pahleeze. :))
The Denver ComPost (what passes for our local newspaper) keeps running stories on the potential for marijuana tourism and the state economy. Not sure if it will all pan out, but my garage can be rented for reasonable rates...
I think the mod was probably because the words all ran together against the periods and made it look like a spammity link.
Spammity links are good on the grill. Serve with sauerkraut for a delicious meal that all your guests will enjoy...:)
The only good about spammity is when you slice it real thin, fry it crispy as possible and plop an over-medium egg on top ... with a side of welldone hashbrowns. Yum!
Good late morning to all!
Good morning! Good weekend for football except for the Cowboys. Giants and Jets both went out with a win, yeah.
You don't have Tony Romo to kick around anymore….Sniff,Sniff.
Yep. Hawks win NFC West AND home field advantage throughout the playoffs. Even the Chargers squeeked in.
Good morning all. How was the weekend?
Nice to have another short week. Anyone have big plans for New Year's?
Thanks for the invite – I usually enjoy my coffee with a visit to my Reader and catch up with everyone else's blogs. After spending a couple of hours with my own it is refreshing to read others. Look forward to popping by regularly.
How about a cucumber?
Laughing my a$$ off over here!
Yeah, me too! (I didn't notice this earlier)
