Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the weekly Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

You can always find it from the link in the left rail, or by bookmarking

Note: Kat's out this week, but should you care to check in with her, there's always Twitter.

Good Sunday Morning to the Good little Girls and Boys of The Klatsch. I really enjoy living in small town America…just last night around 7:00 pm. I heard a Rucus outside my front door…Sirens,Flashing Red Lights and blowing air horns. It was The Old Town Katy Fire Department, with an antique Fire Truck lit with Christmas Lights,a Lighted Sleigh, and Santa Claus himself in the sleigh,Waving and throwing candy to all the bright eyed kids of my neighborhood. Thanks Santa !!
Now for The Bad--The State High School Football Championship was played last night in JerryWorld….and of course MY Katy Tigers were trying to win a 32nd consecutive game against the Number 1 National ranked Cedar Hill,Tx team. I guess the shock of winning an 8th State Title for Katy was too much for them….My Congratulations to Cedar Hill for a well played game.
And now, for The Fugly-–@Truth-Please wake me up when the score hits 56-0 as THE Denver Broncos will Massacre the houston texans around noon today. The Bad part….The Dallas Cowboys play Washington at the same time and Blacked out in Houston.:(( I will also add our Fearless Leader Kat,brought out The Whip and Snapped Rob's fanny on The 2014 Predictions Thread. YOU GO GIRL..:)))
OK Kidz…Be Safe and Nice..Only 3 Days and counting-–Santa is watching us All.

HA! It's designed to stay cold when not in use – mostly for the Klatchers' in-house ice cream worshipers. However, when the schedule gets busy and I start gettin' busy with my clients (poor souls that they are), then things start to heat up.

Thank you for the well wishes. Hope you enjoy yours as well!

Yay! First snow of the season. All of 3 inches. I counted 9 cars spun off the side of the freeway on my way to work this morning. You'd think people in Wa. would know how to drive in the snow. Hell-they can't even drive in the rain. Kinda funny.
Anyway, Happy Holidays to all and hears to a happy and prosperous new year!

Good Morning Kidz….You can tell it's almost Christmas when these things happen-In Atlanta this morning, approximately 42,000 lbs of Christmas hams are laying on I-85 due to a Truck Driver going too fast on an exit ramp. DumbAzz Hopefully some local Food Banks will get some. Then I get a picture of JBJ's hand which shows a picture of Santa Claus painted on her finger nail….Of course my first question was " Does Santa realize where that finger has been "….I think NOT. So enjoy your day everyone….and let's be Safe out there.

Happy Wednesday, everyone. How's everyone's week going?

Dad is finally settled into assisted living. Yesterday's snow here caused a bit of confusion and just plain yuck during move in, but we were able to borrow some furniture temporarily from the facility that will be replaced by his stuff when we get it there. All in all, a positive move and I think he will settle in just fine.

The food sound s great there, too. His meal last night, prime rib, twice-baked potato and all the fixings. It was their holiday dinner but he said it was delicious and cooked right, for him that's big cause he likes well done and you have to be careful with it not to dry it out.

Looks cool, but not for me...although I have always wanted to see the lost city of Atlantis, did they ever find it?

I'm trying to book a cruise for next year to Ireland, Scotland, England, Wales, etc. but not having much luck. Seems cruisers plan out more than 6 months in advance...all suites taken except the really, really pricey ones!

I declare that the NFL is run much like pro wrestling. Some games, i.e. rival games, can be purchased with cash or favors by the team owners prior to the start of the season. All regular season games are up for auction. Every NFL owner and NFL high executive can bid and combine their bids in a games auction. The auction for each game closes at half time. The results of each auction is never to be disclosed to outside parties as not to skew the Vegas style gambling bets in which these very same people can either offset their losses or increase their winnings.

Headed for the Galapagos the day after Christmas. I'm hoping to buy a pair iguana cowboy boots somewhere south of the equator. I want to wear a thong, cowboy hat and cowboy boots to the beach but for some reason, my family won't let me. I'm sure I can find another way to embarrass us all.

Quietly jumping up and down-Seahawks took it to the Giants big time. Not a fun time to be Giants or Cowboys fan. The 'Niners aren't going quietly either.

    December 16, 2013 at 10:40 am |

As a Giants fan, I unfortunately expected no more than how they performed. Arrgh.

Niners actually still have a shot to win the division. Of course that would involve the Seahawks losing their last two games in a row, which isn't happening.

      See you in Seattle. =)

Classic Romo December choke move, too. LOL
