Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson told a London court Wednesday that ex-husband Charles Saatchi had threatened to "destroy" her, as she testified in the trial of two former personal assistants accused of fraud. The former aides, Italian sisters Francesca and Elisabetta Grillo, deny embezzling hundreds of thousands of pounds on company credit cards while employed by Lawson and Saatchi. Lawson's comment about her ex-husband came as she was asked about her reluctance to attend court as a witness in the assistants' trial - a case that has gripped the media as claims emerge about the couple's troubled personal life. Referring to Saatchi's request for her to attend the trial, made in a letter sent by his lawyers, she said: "He had said to me if I didn't get back to him and clear his name he would destroy me." I dont care how many times she might of "tried' a drug...she's still a great chef. Who the hell hasnt' experimented with something in their life. Her ex is a total waste of space. Stay strong Nigella!
She is so not a chef. She is a food critic and thus knows what good food tastes like. As a food critic she rubs elbows with the glam chefs. Men like to dream of her serving desert. She happened to have had a few cookbooks ghost written for her. She is very much a brand, like Martha Stewart.
Guy sounds like a class act, minus the C of course...
There is something very sad when any marriage ends and immediately devolves into a game of "gimme, gimme, gimme"...
Yeah, he sounds like a real piece of sh, I mean work. Don't really know the details, but I did enjoy her shows.
