I used to admire her for not being a prissy princess . Now I hate her with a passion for not taking the stand on horse welfare. Breeding for eating is not a welfare option . Gluttonous cow ants her cake and eat it . Shame on her.

Lets have some pride in this noble animal the horse . Obviously the royal glutton sees them as beasts to use , ask them to trust us then slaughter and eat them . She's stuck her neck out with disgusting attitudes like that . I assume it won't be long before we are factory farming horses for consumption . Perhaps dogs and cats next ????

the woman is a buffoon.....Most horse meat shipped from US and Canada has poisonous steroids..What does this stupid woman not understand?
U.S. horses are poisonous. Not only are there over 100 drugs we give our horses that are labeled "not for use in horses intended for food," horses can have disease which kills people. Just look what happened to these people after eating toxic horse meat. http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/17/7/10-1642_article.htm

They were eating raw horse meat in the article. Nice omission, you'd make a GREAT politician.

Hmmm...Princess Anne loves to ride horses, raise horses and even looks pretty horsey. Maybe her dietary choices explain it...

I would consider eating horsemeat if the horses were raised and slaughtered as we raise and slaughter other livestock. A large portion of horsemeat consumed in Europe are waste, cast-off American horses. They're former pets and washed up race horses. They've been fed who knows what and received all kinds of drugs – pain medications, antibiotics, dewormers. There's no regulation on residues, withdrawal times, etc. I am NOT putting that in my body. If they were raised as livestock, dedicated and headed through the food chain with regulations governing drugs and treatment, I'd consider it. Meat is meat ultimately.

Man: "Get your piping hot horse burgers horse fries, horse cakes and shakes. We got tongue, straight from the horse's mouth."
Leela: "Hmm."
Hermes: "It all sounds good."
Man: "All our horses are 100% horse-fed for that double-horse "juiced-in" goodness."
Leela: "I'll have the cholesterol-free omelet with horse-beaters."
