I THINK I'm entering the tail end of a cold that I caught earlier in the week. Dayquil has become my best friend.
Last night was pretty awesome though, spending some time in one of the better recording studios on campus.
Back at work. Feels like I live here sometimes. *sigh* Saturdays are usually pretty chill though.
Unless, like Sir Biddle, you work for the CIA and will have to torture me if you tell me .... at least that's the story he sticks to. ~_~ What do you do for a living?

BACKGROUND: We went thru one specific time in the lounge when we were dealing with a copycat troll Some of us picked up trademark symbols to differentiate us from the troll. Kat & SLT have since exterminated said troll, but the trademark symbols stuck with us. :) You can Google "ascii codes" for a list of the different trademark symbols and the keystrokes to create them. For example, Turth's "tm" is ALT 0153 (hold down the ALT key and type the numbers). Easy Peazy. :)
If you haven't figured it out from all the technical gibberish, I'm a mechanical designer in the manufacturing field. Been doing this for nigh on 10 years come April '14. Ahhh-nothing like that first cup of coffee. So what does everyone like? I'm all for grinding my own beans. Chocolate/raspberry being my favorite.
Not a huge coffe fan, though I may have a cup in the morning in the winter. Chocolate and raspberry is def not my fave. A lady at work brews it. yek. Just the normal stuff for me with about 5 pounds of sugar and creamer.
Fresh ground is definitely the way to go. Ex NGF bought Dunkin Donuts grind. That stuff is pretty good. Kind of pricey, though
Gotta have it black. Might be why I like flavored coffee.
I'll take a cup of that chocolate-raspberry, please. I normally use Green Mountain Breakfast Blend for the first cup,then a decaf Newman's Own.
That actually sounds like a good idea. I really only need the caffeine first thing in the morning. I like a cup after lunch, but could do without the caffeine that late in the day.
I'm a black coffee kind of guy. And no flavors please! something about coffee and flavoring just doesn't sit right in my mouth.

Totally pulled a Cpt. KIrk today on someone who is, on paper, my superior. Kept bugging him about something that was needed TODAY for someone. Kept bugging him. And Bugging him. He kept forgetting, and brushing me off.
Jdizzle lost his temper, as his shift was over 30 min before. Good. Someone gets what they need on Thursday. Otherwise, it would have been Tuesday. Of next week. They get it tomorrow now. =)

I'm pretty sure they still get paid...or so says the CNN frontpage.
The important thing here is that the panda cam shut down!!! What am I supposed to do all day when not working for the government?!!?
You may be right, I saw my info yesterday, and it said their pay would be "deferred", so I guess technically they will still get paid, eventually....can't pay rent with eventually, and being a former military spouse, most are living paycheck to paycheck as it is.
If that's the case, then that really sucks. Troops should be getting paid on time regardless of what the bozos on the hill are doing. Stupid government. I feel like we should just be able to fire them all and start over.
Does this mean I don't have to pay my taxes?

I work for a healthcare company and a lot of women. I came through eating a pickle earlier and the conversation turned to sodium intake. Apparently I have a high sodium diet. Between the spicy V8 and the large pickle alone, based on the nutrition facts on the label, I've already ingested 3,000 mg of sodium today. Something like 150% of my daily recommended amount and it's not even lunch time yet. =o
After hearing more about the adverse effects of such a diet, I think I will be cutting back quite a bit on my daily penchant for sunflower seeds, pickles, peperonccinis, and the occasional glass of pickle juice on ice. Bummer. Didn't realize I was taking in up to 300% of my daily recommended amount of sodium quite frequently.

Hello~! I'm doing pretty fine myself.
It's cool to see more people come over to visit our little corner of the internet.
School is going pretty well for me. This month I'm getting deep into Music Business and Session Recording, which I think I'll be having a lot of fun with. I THINK I'm going to be finished up by June of next year, though I'm not too sure on that.
Also, I figured the Stone would get some more use during the summer months, especially with its more "alternative" uses.
So ... on which end of the political scale are "Eatocrats" located? Why haven't I seen a rep from party on my ballot? Inquiring minds and all. ;)
The US could use a good new party about now because the current two party system isn't fun. When was the last time balloons and clowns and ice cream and cake were seen in the Halls of congress? Well, okay, plenty of clowns, but not circus clowns. Speaking of cake – every year there are fireworks to celebrate this nation's birthday, but the crowd never sings happy birthday and no one serves the birthday cake. A party without cake, is like a blues song without any soul.
So, Dem-publicans and Ream-ocrats both better get a serious senate party committee going if they want my vote.
