Have been out of sorts after a 48 hour attempt to impersonate a fire house with a stomach bug that was oh so enjoyable. That and there was a little disturbance in my neighborhood on Monday that sucked too.

As for me, I'm focusing on small happinesses since the big ones seem out of reach right now. I managed to get a pedicure this weekend, and made sure to get something different than my usual...I went with bright blue with sparkles! Might not be everyone's taste but when I see them peeking out it makes me smile, so mission accomplished.

Well, the Platte river has still not crested. It is expected to sometime tomorrow. We still have 600 people unaccounted for, at least thirty bridges washed out and 654 lane-miles of road still covered in water. 18,105 homes have been damaged, of which 1,621 have been destroyed.
Couple that with a loved one's health issues and it is not a nice time lately.
These are troubling times in the Kingdom............

IT was the perfect storm. One with a one in one thousand chance of occurring. For that storm to occur, the weather patterns in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans had to be just so along with the jet stream – influenced by Arctic and Gulf of Mexico weather.
Focus on your loved one's health. For you, the storms physical damage can be fixed with time, a little lumber, nails and a new coat of paint.
As for the 600 missing – they are literally not out of the woods yet.
One of the people I work with is from Colorado. Hasn't heard from her Gramps in a few days. =(

Good morning all, and Happy Monday. My condolences to the NYGs yesterday, who played a good game, and congrats to the Broncos, who won the first of their two games this year at MetLife Stadium.
Well, the flood waters came within about three blocks of the house yesterday, but thankfully all is clear now. No basement issues either. Cannot say the same for friends. Yesterday at church, more than half of folks seemed to have varying degrees of basement or roof leak issues. Apparently all local Lowe's and Home Depots are sold out of sump pumps and wet/dry vacs.
Oddest thing is seeing this in my own home state. Still digesting a lot of it.

Terrible day for football. What a mess in Seattle last night, I didn't even watch the fourth quarter – went to bed. Glad it happened in week 2 instead of late in the season like last year. Next time we meet in San Fran.
Then Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Graham alone beat one of my fantasy teams (in which I have Kaepernick as my QB), of course it was my money league with co-workers, so I should be hearing all about it today.
Whadaya mean a mess? That was a great game! I mean, yeah your Niners lost, but dayum, that was fun to watch.
