A fascinating discussion is worth comment. I believe that you should publish more about this topic, it may not be a taboo subject but usually folks don't talk about such issues. To the next! Best wishes.

Don't care if it's good or bad, I don't like the aftertaste.

I prefer imported sodas, made with real sugar!

Funny. Reminds me of all the ads in the 50s touting the health benefits of smoking!

Coca-Cola is terrible. Don't understand why people like it.

Then you are a fool. There are lots of things I don't like, but it's pretty easy to understand how other people might like them. Hint – different people, different tastes.

Tried it. Can't stand the aftertaste, so it was a no go for me even before the health concerns came out.

There's nothing wrong with drinking Diet Coke. Been doing it for years and I've had zero side effects. Just because some people do, doesn't mean it's bad for everyone. Speak for yourself and BTFO of my business..

You know you're in trouble when a "doctor" doesn't know for sure that soft drinks are bad. And neither is high fructose corn syrup because the corn industry says it's so. It's always "in moderation." Not only is this garbage, people become addicted to it. Try going a month without your Diet Coke and see how long before you crack. Your liver will thank you later though. Instead, drink naturally flavored sparkling water. Doublecheck your labels to make sure there is nothing "scientific" sounding added. Or, roll the dice with your health if you prefer.

Isn't sparkling water carbonated? Yep, all natural.

methane is not carbon dioxide. It doesn't even smell the same.

And that right there Terry is one of the problems with America. Don't drink it if something sounds "scientific"? Are you serious?

Read all the articles about how Gatorade and sports drinks are bad for kids. It's a scientific study about a scientific drink.

        August 15, 2013 at 2:27 pm |
        • Phoenix Lee

Okay, refer me to an article (preferably a scientific study so it'll be quite extensive) and make sure it's not a sourceless scare article or a scare article that uses other scare articles for sources. I want something with clear-cut results and proof. Something with a .org or .edu link to it. Something done by an actual scientific research team of some rapport. If you cannot produce that, begone.
