Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

The last thing I want him to do is stay still. Gotta make 'em squirm. However, I'll put in a call to the local civil engs to come in and re-check the dampers on the .... equipment. Coffee abuse is not part of the plan – at least not above the dungeon.

When I first read that book, it was in the late 1980s, and I always could picture Willem Dafoe as playing Galt were the book to be made into a film. (It since has been, but relative unknowns have been cast.

Interesting. My first and only time reading it was in 2011 – and it was a riveting story. At that same time, one of the 2 movies were just coming out and I was glad they chose unknowns for the cast. I haven't see the movies yet, but I would like to.

Good morning, I feel like I've walked into the middle of a conversation and can't catch up.

Its back below freezing this morning, 29 degrees with wind chill bringing the temp down to 21 degrees. No 60's in sight on the 10 day...arrgghhh. I know, I sound like a broken record. Sorry.

Have a great day everyone, especially Truth!!

Read Atlas Shrugged. Since many people read this thread – and as River intimated – spoilers are not fun for everyone.

Good morning all, and for the record, John Galt was the protagonist of one of the finest books ever written.
