I found this link on the main site and thought I would share with the class for those in areas affected or could be in the future, great ideas for meals without power from the Mayo Clinic!

Yummy recipe to share...

I second that! Make it with ranch and motz cheese. Good stuff!
It makes an awesome buffalo bat wing dip. I used blue cheese this time with cheddar/jack mix and blue corn tortilla chips.
Someone spewing over on the Embedded and Fed thread about Romney being the chosen one, or something, and how Obama lives rich...has he not heard about the $55k car elevator Romney is installing in his 36k sq foot garage?? Really now? OK, enough politicizing on a food blog for me.
Happy Halloween!
I hope people effected by Sandy are ok.
Don't eat too much candy!
Back to work today after a day off. How 'bout them Niners? They silenced the gobble-gobble jive turkey talk.

Happy Halloween all! It is cold & rainy here, not the best day for trick or treating. I hope everyone on the east coast is doing a little better today. Looks like they are in for a long haul. How about everyone send a treat to the Red Cross today? Every little bit helps for those in need. Have a good day all!
Good am all! Sounds like you're doing good after the storm, I'm really glad! Have a great day & oh, "Happy Halloween"!
HAPPY HALLOWEENIE everyone! I brought in some Buffalo Bat Wing Dip and blue corn tortillas for a snack later.
And you know what is scary on Halloween with a full moon? So Cal drivers!! Almost got nailed (dracula pun) three times on the drive in.
Good morning everyone!
Jerv and Biddle- Glad to hear you both survived being blown by Sandy!
Welcome back, Stranger! How have you been?
And in important news, what are things one and two going to be for Halloween?
Thanks! It's good to be back!
Thing 1 is going as Batman and Thing 2 is going as Superman. They've been practicing their "trick or treats" all week and I barely convinced them both that they did not need to wear their costumes all day today. This is supposed to be the coldest Halloween in Indy in the last 10 years so hopefully they'll only want to go to a few houses tonight.
Well, you should have gotten yourselves on a plane (or thing two can fly) out here. We are looking at highs of 70 today. The local joke in Denver though, is that you have to design your kids' costumes to fit over a parka, since October is usually the first snowfall. Which happened last week, but is long gone now.
*waves wildly* Glad to 'see' you back! Have fun with the boys today!
Since Sandy hit Richmond before Washington, I guess that means I got Jerv's sloppy seconds. NICE.
LOL! Mmmm mmm good. Never pass up sloppy seconds!
You wouldn't let something like that slow you down. Don't see how it could. ~_~

Good morning everyone. Last day of the month. Should be a busy one.
Morning Crew! Survived Sandy and all well here.
Good morning all! How is everyone doing today?
Mary Shannon update:
I talked to my sister last night, and her area is starting day two with no power. Thankfully, she has an outdoor grill, so dinner can be done, but living in the dark has to be getting old. She is in good spirits though, which has to help.
Coffee is on, and I brought in fresh strudel, so dig in.
Glad to hear it! Hubs talked to his son finally yesterday and they are OK, but also without power so they went out for a drive to charge up the cell phone. We lived in FL for 8 years and lost power during storms quite frequently, and yes it does get boring! But we usually only had to endure several hours, never days.
