Happy Friday afternoon, everyone. I've had a technologically challenged day so far, thanks to my evil internet provider (yes, the same one RH had trouble with last week). After 2 hours on the phone and a trip to the local office and my own techy skills, I'm back up and running. Heck, only lost 5 hours on a holiday Friday, what's the biggie? I hope everyone has a much, much better day and weekend than me.
Glad to hear things worked out without additional headaches. Dad is likely going to be calling you later.

Anyone catch the thumping the Niners put on the Chargers last night? That's the momentum I like to see going into Lambeau to start the season. Today is Bloody Friday, roster all to be cut to 53 men by 9PM EST this evening.
That means we begin the Nose Pickem's on Tuesday.
I'm guessing Peyton edges himself onto the roster in Denver.

Yeah, Sunday and Monday. Monday is first practice for The Pumpkins soccer team with Coach Jdizzle. First game is on 09/08/2012, they didn't give us much notice. Should be interesting trying to keep a "game" of 3on3 5 and 6 year olds going.

@Jdizz & AleeD- sounds like fun. Mini me starts in dance next week. Toddlers doing "ballet" is adorable. I'm so not a dance mom, I'm just giving her an activity. That child is a "Princess" according to her..lol

No big plans here. Going out of the country next week, so this weekend will be all of the requisite housecleaning, laundry, packing and preparation. Looking VERY forward to getting away though.
Good Morning and a Phenomenal Phriday to all! It sounds like while hubby & I were having 1/2 the windows in our casa replaced yesterday, I missed Trolls-on-Parade here. Didn't notice any, um, fluid spatter when I came in. I hope that means there wasn't any bloodshed on our side.
In addition to some Columbian coffee & Dunkin Dognuts for all, I picked up some extra cans of Raid, Troll-B-Gone and Round-up ... in case the trolls some back and are militant vegans.
@AleeD- Kat cleaned the mess fairly quickly. May I have a can of the Troll-be-gone? Seems if I angered someone on my personal FB page about posting about my little girl's birthday (how dare I right *sarcasm*). Any weekend plans?
With my compliments, Nice Lady. *passes a can to abk* Someone wise once told me that no one can "make" you feel anything; you choose to feel what you feel. If someone is angered by something you've done, that's on them, not you. How can posting something as innocuous as your daughter's birthday give someone a case of the azz?
Our Fearless Leaders (aka Eatocracy Editors) are great about taking care of trolls 'round here. Hat's off to them and their caring natures.

I work all weekend and apparently buying her a Hello Kitty cake is evil as is feeding her sugar. I guess I should just give her cardboard? Lol, anyway I got rid of "friends". I'll be out catching bad guys and keeping drunks off the roads.

Get her a Hello Kitty Noir cake instead. About two days after, she'll have fun when something turns neon green. ;) Scr3w them that believe nonsense about sugar. Medical issues aside, there's little wrong with sugar in moderation. Esp. for a 4y.o.'s birthday. Geez Louise!

I'm not for hyping kids up on sugar, but a little here and there... as a treat (and birthday parties certainly rate getting a treat) isn't bad.
But what's evil about Hello Kitty if it's something your daughter likes? (Yes, HK is a highly commercialized ion/product line... but so is a lot of stuff.) Would some other character be less evil?
Who in h@!! said that a birthday cake for a four year old is evil??? Person needs to be publicly flogged. Sheesh.
Of course, I am the type who would not only buy the cake, but also a six pack of Budweiser...
@Truth, AleeD, and Mildred- don't forget the evil "eggs" that go in a cake. This must have been a militant vegan that slipped in on my list or something.
She adores HK and that's all she has asked for since last month when we happened to see another one at the store. She mostly hates anything sweet (unless it is strawberries). And HK is on everything she owns.
I did ask what else would be less evil and they responded "nothing". And as for your comment Truth about the beer..we are having adult "apple" juice aka..Budweiser in paper cups.
Oh, and the rest of tha party includes "evil" bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and a barbeque! You just can't reason with some people at all.....

Some years ago, I had a colleague whose husband and I hit it off. We used to help each other out with heavy chores, etc. Turns out that he wound up getting shot in the leg during a driveby (non-fatally). During his recovery, I brought him a care package of cigs, beer and two copies of "Pl@yboy" magazine. His wife (my work colleague) thought I was insufferable for it, but she still had to laugh.
That totally makes up for you being Republican, Truth.
