Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

Alfred's cubicle neighber popped his head over the wall to see if Alfred was indeed the break room thief who has been stealing his sandwiches! Caught red handed.

Replace the fish with plants, and the plastic frogs with Dr Who figures and books, and today's picture looks pretty close to my desk at work!

OK, time for a proper good morning. I have some chipotle-mango grilled chicken quesadillas (sp?) with mango salsa for a spicy breakfast option.

Our crises mgmt team cancelled my trip to FL yesterday, so it was nice not to have to fly in, over, or through that mess.

Saturday morning we got a wake up call @4am with a woman's screams...then the entire CSI treatment down the street from us all day long...we heard it was a 26 year old son decided to flame his own mother, using a can of some type of aerosal and a lighter! We live in a relatively small, gated community on the very outskirts of town. YIKES. What has the world come to??

Good morning everyone. Join me in a little happy dance to commemorate another problem-free "annual squishing of the lady parts"!!! With Mom's history and my own past scares its always a relief to get the results. Ha, I think this one will get past the Mod-bots, it took a while to think up a good way to phrase it.

I TOTALLY understand the "annual squishing of the lady parts." Hope the results are to celebrate! (((Hugs!)))

I so agree with the squishing! Another invention of a man I believe. Do you think they would EVER do that to sensitive man parts for cancer screening?? I think not.

Congrats on positive (negative) results! :)

Why no I guess I haven't! They have a squishy machine for that too?

Hoo, boy....we're treading in dangerous waters now. Truth, CAN you describe oh, so delicately for the modbots, how that works? A 'challenge" for your literary talents.......

No. But you're only off by a finger.

Well, I am only 47, so I've never had the "pleasure" (so to speak), personally, but it involves rubber gloves, fingers and the nether regions.

Not sure which gender has it worse, but suffice it to say, we each have our share of burdens to bear.

    Good Morning all!
Looking down the barrel of another hot week in Denver. In the words of GreenDay, "Wake me up when September ends"...

    How is everyone doing today?

I hear you on the weather front. We are back to 97 today and triple digits for the next few days, I guess summer if not over. *sighs*

Gooooooood morning happy Klatschers. All's well in the WCF. So far, Isaac has brought rain, a little wind and lots of cancellations. RNC is going to interrupt their parties, risk it all and open their convention today, reconvening Tuesday. Most counties 'round here have cancelled school for today. That was the weekend. How was everyone else's?

Glad you're safe, stay dry and if you go outside tie a long rope to your waist!

Thankee for your concern, Noice Laydee. The wind is just barely stiff enough to muss one's hair. It didn't even rock the truck on the way in to this morning. Bottom line: Isaac is rather flaccid.

Issac has just popped some Viagra and is headed to a party in New Orleans. Rumor has it he is trying to relive a crazy time this wild broad Katrina had there some time ago.

        • AleeD®@Sir Bid

Peeeshaw. Katrina reached cat 3 status. Isaac's struggling to maintain a 1. He's going to have to do some push-ups and buy himself a pump if he's going to rise to Katrina's standards. Innuendo aside I'm not wishing a cat 3 that on anyone.
