Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

You can tell when an Eatocracy article makes the main CNN page. Explodes with comments, then dies off when replaced with something else on the homepage.

        August 14, 2012 at 10:07 am |
        • The Witty One

And when I say slacking, I mean not moving at the pace I want. I have put on about 7-8 lbs of muscle and lost about an inch on my waist. I need to step it up to get rid of that last 20 lbs of winter padding and add about that much muscle and then I will be good to go! Now that i'm single again, I can hit the gym like 5 days a week!

@J Dizz- do you watch Robot Chicken? They have a great Dora parody. HRH was obsessed with Dora last year. Thankfully the 2 year old loves anything Star Wars or Star Trek.

        August 14, 2012 at 9:06 am |
        • Jdizzle McHammerpants ♫♫ @ ABK

Star Trek is awesome. Except for Enterprise (which had to grow on me, and I'm working on it via Netflix) and TOS (sorry, 60's TV doesn't do it for me) I have watched every episode. Between Voyager, DS9, and TNG that amounts to 21 seasons of episodes alone. That is a lot of time immersed in that world, LOL. Toss in the 2 of 5 that I've watched of Enterprise so far and I should get some sort of Medal.

@ J Dizz- RC is good for short clips. I rarely can watch an entire episode. Oh and big Family Guy fan here too. Own every season with the exception of the one coming out next month. Sometimes I think I'm still a teenager when it comes to my level of maturity on some things..

Family Guy is one we can all sit and watch together as a Family. NGF doesn't really care for it, but the rest of us dig it. American Dad is OK, as well. Master Chef is the show we watch when everyone goes to bed. That and The Daily Show and Colbert Report.

This is Brobee (spelling)! It is a creature toddlers adore and parents hate.

Your sooooo easily entertained--IMHO....Lil' Biddle could have gained 350 yards against the Cowboy's defense last night....and that's with a FULL diaper.

We have Lil Biddle in contract talks with RGIII, with that pair the Redskins are Super Bowl bound for certain!

Good Tootsday Morning Kidz from Valdosta GA. Man, these are some of the best home fries and biscuits I've had in a long time. The sausage and eggs ain't bad either. Tomorrow is a BIG Day around here for some reason but for the Life of me I can't remember WHY? Even WD can't remember--

You gotta go a long way to beat Waffle House hash browns all the way. But nobody beat Pops home fries. What's up?

      • RichardHead

Scattered, smothered and covered...I must agree Lil' Buddy. I've still got 2 hours left on my "Break " before hitting the concrete, so WD and I are walking off breakfast. How was the weekend?

Great weekend here. I've been watching the show "Bones." I'm totally hooked. Sounds like your new employer has you going all over the place. Well, morning free time is up. You and everyone have a great day!!

Why did you have to mention home fries? Lol, now I'm hungry again.....

Good morning! How is everyone? Sorry for no responses yesterday, my phone decided I didn't need to use CNN. Where do 3 year olds get their energy from and how can I sell it :)? Late night and now early morning. And she's decided that all food with the exception of cereal bars, is "gross". Oh, got rid of my troll. Baited it enough ( I know I shouldn't, but it was picking on kids) to make it go away. So all in all good! *waves to my new FB friends too :)*

@ Jerv- the time of year the hubby and I bicker over teams (I like the 49ers, he loves the Panthers). A house divided.

I haven't had coffee and I'm being forced to sit through the horror that is "Yo Gabba Gabba" thanks to HRH the 3 year old, so I'm not really awake yet. I like football but I don't shout at the tv and break inanimate objects in anger like the hubby.

          August 14, 2012 at 8:03 am |
        • Sir Biddle@ABK

HA!!! We have a Yo Gabba Gabba household too. Its a love-hate relationship. I either think the content is cool or I've heard it so much its nails on a chalkboard.

@ Sir Biddle- as much as this show annoys me, its "Wonder Pets" that is like nails on a chalkboard for me.
