Pssst! Got a sec to chat? We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here. Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic. |

Hey Bro,
Obozo is on the ground in Afghanistan-must be a Secret Supper on the Bin Laden anniversary.
Let's hope he stays there...
I hope the Secret Service had a chance to arrange for a party. They are only there for 7 hours so it's gotta be a quickie,
This just in...Nadya Suleman says she would do p0rn to support her kids. In a related story, Hugh Hefner declines all future interest in women.
You may now return to your normally scheduled Eatocracy.
Yeah, I saw that yesterday. Gross.
I stopped by late yesterday, but wanted you to know that I loved your wedding pics! You looked beautiful!! What song did you and the new husband dance to??
Our first dance was Beauty and the Beast...we had a Star Wars/Disney thing going with the music. All of the ceremony songs were from Star Wars while the big reception songs (Intros, first dance, last dance) were disney. Our bridal party walked in to Friend Like Me (Aladdin) while we did Bella Notte (Lady & the Tramp) and our last dance was Kiss the Girl (Little Mermaid).
Well then, Hakuna Matata...
These are not the bridesmaids you are looking for....
"I have a bad feeling about this..."
So fun trying to explain to DJ that there is a difference between Luke and Leia's Theme (bridesmaid processional) and Leia's Theme (my processional). Our recessional was the Theme from Star Wars while the Prelude was a hodge podge of songs including Yoda's Theme, Across the Stars, Twin Suns, and Jedi's Theme. While most of our guests didn't recognize them, it was a real treat when people came up to us during the reception to comment on the "awesome" music selections!
I always thought the best song for wedding receptions would be Buffet's "Why don't we get drunk and scrue"...
Take that ModBots...
That's so great!! I love Lady and the Tramp.
Good morning Klatsch! Hope everyone is doing well.
Went out with a cousin of mine who was vising over their long weekend (yesterday was a holiday for them). Now I'm kind of tired, but I don't really regret it...much.
I know that feeling. You LOVE certain people to visit but it's an experience that does drain one.
MAYDAY! May 5 will be nice! Coinco de Mayo AND the Kentucky Derby!
kool
daaaaaam..........CINCO de Mayo
Isn't that what you call it when you submerge the Hellmann's?
apologies. that went over my head. definition please?
Hint: the 5th of May is one of my favorite, punniest days of the year.
definition "sink(o) de(the) mayo(real mayo, aka Hellman's)....
thanks....I'd NEVER have guessed........
What do you get when you run a ship full of mayonnaise into an ice berg?
CINCO DE MAYO!
From the crowd we have in Denver, it is more like Drinko De Mayo...
I think our So Cal crowd could out drinko your Denver crowd any day of the week, including de Mayo, just sayin'
should read "even de Cinco" :)
Good morning! Back to work this morning, lots of emails to catch up with and already missed a 7:30 call that I wasn't aware of in time...oh well. Have I missed anything fun?

Good Morning,Sista'.....Thanks for the drinks and eats. Soooo is numnuts Boss still around?
Yes he is. This has got to be the longest d@mn band-aid peel-off ever. Swears today is his last day. Irony is, we said our goodbyes yesterday because he wasn't sure if he'd be in today. What a maroon.
How's tings in your yard?
LOVE your metaphor – longest band-aid peel-off ever.
nice one.
I learned a lesson today in Mobile,AL.....Never leave the Truck for a cup of coffee without taking WD for a walk first. She had rolled down all the windows, cranked up the stereo and was blasting the air horn to " Who Let The Dogs Out ".
Bummer on the Boss–he sounds like a real Weiner.
You could even say it's a Weiner Holder. ;)
Did WD give you a dutch oven to open when you were gone?
I like how WD rolls! Now humming who let the dogs out, who, who, who....
Rabbit rabbit.
Just had a flashback to reading Babysitter's Club :-D
Yeah. Me, too.
Actually, Choose Your Own Adventures was my thing. Might have to check that out again, LOL. Introduced NGF kids to Hank the Cowdog. THAT was a good series. The author came to our school in AK once for an assembly. Word.
