TMZ and other sources report that Miley Cyrus was rushed to the emergency room on Monday night after wounding herself with a knife while cooking dinner in her Toluca, California, home. Her mother and boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth of "Hunger Games" fame, took her to get the bloody cut stitched up at a nearby emergency room.

You gotta be kidding me...this actually made it on the news? I cut my finger half off once and had to drive for 5 hours before it got stitched but didn't think it necessary to put it on the news. For pete sake...there is plenty of other things more important than anyone cutting themselves while cooking.

Sounds like she's a normal person. This happens to people all the time, since cooking requires the use of sharp knives and hands and fingers bleed profusely, leading most people to visit the ER as a precaution if nothing else. It's happened to both my husband and me. This isn't news any more than a report that some celebrity stubbed their toe while getting out of the shower.
Yep! When in doubt, use super glue (just tell yourself the sting helps clean the wound). I've used it once or twice. The set-up and service guys use it for cuts when they're in the field so they can keep working. Their concern? Don't wanna get blood on the machine they're working on. 8-o
