Pssst! Got a sec to chat? We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here. Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic. |

Spot on with this write-up, I seriously feel this web site needs far more attention. I’ll probably be returning to read more, thanks for the info!
Way cool! Some very valid points! I appreciate you penning this post plus the rest of the site is also really good.
What's worse than having to rant? Posting your rant twice because both versions have been moderated.
I'm not mad. It just took all the wind out of the sails of my rant. :))))))
Unwitting therapy.............
Is that the same as "witless?" :D
maybe so, now that I think about it.
Hey! I resemble that remark :)
That is SO not true, my friend. :D
Granted I'm not in the circle of management's radiant sunshine. I am, however, the purported slop-swilling shoe scum who gets the job done in your department. The least you could do is answer all my questions so that I can do my cow-flappin' job the right way.
/end rant/
Hey there...
For interesting personal food news... a blog for a local paper is throwing a birthday bash at a swanky hotel space/restruant tomorrow night. And I'm going.

That chick is jackin' my style.
I'm up in the gym working on my fitness?
I'll take that as a compliment!
Howdy Ho back atcha!
Howdy do folks?

Hi TWO! How's it going?
It's going well. I've been typing on my laptop for the last week and am trying to get used to the keyboard in my office. That last sentence took me about 30 minutes to type correctly! :)
HA! And another half an hour to post it? Maybe it would be faster to train carrier pigeons. ;)
Good morning all! Hope all is well mid-week.
So far, so good mon Kepitan. We just barely survived ..... a fire drill. ;) What's gnu wit you?
Got some external HDDs yesterday to backup some stuff from a few of the computers so we can clean them out and hopefully bring up some performance...

Good Morning!

You can't be tasteful? WELL now!
Yeah. You know, the morning pit stop then I can't get back to sleep. SO! I figured I'd just get up and start the day with my coffee and diabetic pills........
I'm looking forward to our 4 day getaway this weekend!
Nice, where are you going?
Laughlin, Nevada........right on the Colorado River. We stay at one of the (7? or 8?) casinos on the Nevada side. Harrah's usually. It's fun during the cooler months!
Have a great time! Maybe a nice massage at the hotel spa?
My boyfriend gets lots of comps. Maybe I'll do that this time. hmmmm....
I like the ferry boats up and down the river, too. And there is a tour boat that goes down to the London Bridge. Never done that either. This may be the time to do it.

Good morning, Ladies!! Are we having a Ladies Day today led by Miss Manners in the photo?
Yes. We are practicing being ever so cultured! Remember the character from Laugh In played by Lily Tomlin?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cqeBt48VbI
Awesome. :)
Found this on Wiki:
"Mrs. Judith Beasley, also known as "The Tasteful Lady", is a somewhat prudish and prissy, conservatively dressed middle-aged apolitical woman who dispenses advice on gracious living and a life of elegance."
Sadly I don't remember this character. I DO remember Edith Ann &, my favorite, Ernestine. :) Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
I found her character under the name Mrs. Earbore. Which one is right? Did she do two?
It looks like you're the winner! So what was the line in Wiki talking about?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lily_Tomlin
Is this another example of why one should not rely on Wiki for information? Inquiring minds wanna know.
Lily Tomlin, whose characters included:
Mrs. Earbore. A "tasteful" society matron, Mrs. Earbore would express quiet disapproval about a tasteless joke or remark, and then rise from her chair with her legs spread, and sometimes got doused with a bucket of water.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rowan_%26_Martin's_Laugh-In
Maybe it was the evolution of Laugh In itself over several years. ?
When I googled "Mrs. Judith Beasley" it came up as a Tomlin character who was a "consumer advocate."
Mrs. Earbore was the Tasteful Lady.
Mornin' Miss Mary! It looks like ladies' day so far. I don't know about being led by Miss Priss tho'. Looks like she could use some quality time in the dungeon.
she needs a boyfriend like, like, um, ......... who WOULD be "good" for her?
Sir Biddle could straighten her out in a heartbeat. In fact, he may already have and THAT'S why she's smiling like that.
so where is when we need him?
Maybe she is sitting so formally because of the stick still in her nether regions. :-)
I like the way you think.
First thought that popped in my head was it looked like the milk man just left for the morning.
I'm here with Miss Quality.
G'mornin' Miss Michele. How's tings with you this early morning? Insomnia keepin' you up?
