We asked via iReport for your stories of that person, place, book, restaurant or dish that made you sit up and start to see food as more than just a three times a day chore. You eat every day, and you've got a story to share.

Every so often, we're sharing the most hunger-inducing and heartfelt ones right 'chere.

iReporter Chris Morrow ran into the judges of MasterChef - Gordon Ramsay, Graham Elliot and Joe Bastianich - in a field and asked them who taught them to love food. Gordon Ramsay cited a certain French chef, but also had a few things to say about his steak-loving fellow countryman Piers Morgan.

Ramsey is just trying to earn himself a spot on Piers's show. Figures if he says something slightly controversial, he'll get on. More coverage is better ratings for Hell's Kitchen....

Why would Gordon want to be on Piers' show? He's got several of his own shows that people actually watch. Ramsey is way cooler.

      March 28, 2012 at 3:42 pm |
    • Bernard Webb

That's a pretty shallow analysis there, sport. Ramsay has numerous hit shows that people like. Morgan has one boring show that nobody watches. Why would someone like Gordon pump up Morgan's ratings by appearing on his show?

Don't care if everything he makes is ambrosia; he's a f*&!ing ars e. Knowing my chef is a giant a-hole makes my food less palatable.

Ok,there are allot of stupid people making comments that have nothing to do with "Liberals", "Looks", "Gordon's attitudes" or whatever. TRASH TALKING means like American's do "shooting the Breeze", "Kicking it" sitting around just talking sh**". THAT is what they means. Not bad mouthing, like allot of those comments are doing. Talking trash about Gordon's character. Besides allot of those that were actually trashing Gordon are a bunch of loser's, that will never become close to being a 4 Star Michellin Chef. That is one of many reason's why AMERICA is screwed, too much ignorant people.

This was a good giggle. Thank you !! Gordon Ramsey is only an asshole as necessary, unfortunately there are a lot of necessary moments in our world and he's a truth teller. This on the other hand was funny. He's been far more vile than that on camera. Always entertaining.

Being a great chef doesn't make you successful in life. Gordon's a liar who cheats on his wife and is a total jerk who thinks he craps gourmet poop piles. You must think he's hot and have posters over your bed.

  11. JR

Odds are high that this person said that they were going to post this on CNN, so Gordon had some ribbing for his fellow countryman. He's not trash talking, he's playing with his food, so to speak. This man is known for his mouth and that's hardly what we saw here. If he really wanted to smack Piers, he would have done it much better than this.

I see a lot of trash talk from cable news opinion dealers, this comment doesn't even register on the meter.

I agree with JR, this is NOT trash talking, go hang out with a USMC infantry platoon, THEN you'll hear trash talking! :-)

I would agree. A little bit of fiestyness is ok but Ramsay takes it a bit too far. Too much of anything can be annoying.

When it seems that a person can not speak without swearing, it tells a lot about the person. The occasional " blue word" is understandable, but too much is simply too much.

      March 28, 2012 at 8:06 am |
    • DB5

I guess your trash talk comes from getting kicked off Hells Kitchen for being a loud mouth puss head. It might appear that Gordon is going to far, but there is no denying the results. Have you ever seen a drill Sergeant? If you had you probably hate the army too....you $h!t for brain.

There is something missing here, what exactly was the question asked of him, Gordon would not bring the name of Pierce without any context, this story is giving only showing what his reply was, not exactly the full context.

The purpose here seems is to Trash Gordon.

    March 28, 2012 at 7:15 am |
    • Joe

Why not trash Gordon? He's angry and yells at EVERYONE on any of his shows. I don't care about him or Piers, but I wouldn't be surprised that he would be talking smack. So trash Gordon and get him out of the media.

Well, this wasn't nothing, it was very casual and actually he was just being funny, but in general Gordon sucks for unnecessary rudeness on a regular basis to other people. Pierce is actually a nice and intelligent guy, he only looks like a snub at times, but it's wrong to judge people for their natural appearance! I have no problem with him being British, I find his interviews very good and well informative. I like him better than King.

That's strange, I think some of you guys judge people based on their natural looks, who people have no control over instead of how they actually do their job, and I think he does great interviews.

Gordon is a decent man. He knows what liberalism is, knows how devastating it is, and calls it as he sees it. End liberalism, the world heals, simple as that. Liberalism is a mental disorder, and nothing else needs to be said of it.

    March 27, 2012 at 11:58 pm |
    • ash

the core belief behind liberalism is to let people believe how they want stay out of everyone elses bedroom and to do your best to just get along with everyone, and thats a mental disorder? well youre welcome to move to the middle east where youre kind of world exists hitler

      March 28, 2012 at 12:36 am |
      • lizazabc

Liberals will only let you believe what you want if you believe the right thing. Otherwise, they will ridicule you, bully you, and call you horrible names. Its funny that liberals preach about staying out of your bedroom, yet they require you to pay for their bedroom activities.

You hit the nail on the head. We all want privacy, some just want to cull the American population via their pro-choice agendas that do nothing more than reduce our futures aptitude and cost the rest of us more money. I used to be pro-choice, when I was younger, unmarried and wanted free things. I am older and have worked hard for the things that weren't free for me. Quit enabling the very programs we all complain about under our breaths when no one is listening. Be honest and vote out the jerks keeping socialism on the horizon. Keep America Free.

So we should go back to days of whipping kids and raping chicks, eh?

Ignorant fool. Liberalism is the saliva to the wound. Wake up. It's the 21st Century. Today's revolutionists ARE Liberals. You really think by getting the rid of them the world will "heal." Get rid of Liberals and you'll be watching the world burn.

      March 28, 2012 at 12:40 am |
    • iBod

By the way Snarks, I can almost guarantee you use the word without knowing its definition.

Dictionary . com defines "Liberalism" as "a political or social philosophy advocating the freedom of the individual, parliamentary systems of government, nonviolent modification of political, social, or economic institutions to assure unrestricted development in all spheres of human endeavor, and governmental guarantees of individual rights and civil liberties."

So we should definitely get rid of Liberals, right? Yeah, bet you are wishing CNN had that "X" button, now, don't chya? Tut, tut, you fool.

      March 28, 2012 at 12:46 am |
    • Breed

Yeah, it's a shame those liberals like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were allowed to stand up for what they believe in. We'd have been much better off letting King George III rule us like a tyrant. Too bad the liberal policies of Abraham Lincoln ended slavery. Too bad that liberal LBJ ended legalized discrimination, too. This country would be so much better off if we had a dictator ruling our slave-owning, discriminating selves.

Funny, how it's so many people with money or people who are easily influenced by fearmongers, who constantly make false and misleading statements like the other rich guys (Limbaugh, O'Reilly), guys who constantly have to retract comments, who bad mouth liberals. Of course they do, they hate the idea of paying the same percentage of taxes as the masses, still accept SS and medicare even with their bucks, hate the idea of the most vulnerable.......etc. sheesh

Pretty closed-minded coming from (I'm assuming based upon the poor quality and irrational generalization of your post) a Republican. You are giving opther Republicans/conservatives a bad name by being so partisan, no party member is useful unless they are open to bi-partisan discussion. Apparently you are not useful. This network should spend money and hire REAL reporters rather than amateur "IReporters" for stories. The overall difference in real quality would be well worth it. Many of the amateurs on CNN would recognize a real story if it bit them in the butt. Just my opinion after 45 years as a professional writer and journalist.
