While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday.

Everything is just peaches and cream -  June 21 is National Peaches and Cream Day.

As much as we like to say (or sing) this unique phrase, there is no definitive peaches and cream dessert - it can be whatever you imagine so long as the slight tang of ripe peaches and sweet mounds of whipped cream are involved.

Peaches and cream can grace ice cream, pies, cakes, French toast casseroles or even a nice summer dessert that starts on the grill.

Bottom line, peaches and cream sounds good because, well, it tastes good.

Now, isn't that just peachy?

Peaches are great but I don't like the cream, fattening and tastes eh. But that's just me, a lot of people enjoy whipped cream! The picture looks mad good

I like nectarines. Always thought of them as the de-fuzzed peaches. Can't get around putting something "furry" in my mouth (well, almost nothing). :)
