Pssst! Got a sec to chat?

We are utterly thrilled when readers want to hang out and talk – whether it's amongst themselves or in response to pieces we've posted. We want Eatocracy to be a cozy, spirited online home for those who find their way here.

Consider the daily Coffee Klatsch post as your VIP lounge – the primary comments thread for readers who'd like to chat about topics not related to the articles we're running. That way, everyone knows where to find each other, and each post's comments section remains on topic.

(Note from Kat – I still have my stitches in and clicking pictures into a post is wicked painful. I swear we'll be back on track soon.)

  15. Evil Grin - After Lunchtime Poll

Given the choice to do anything at all at this exact moment, I would:

    1. Go home and take a nap.
    2. Eat your favorite meal.
    3. Go skydiving.
    5. Stop that guy from going skydiving. It's dangerous!
    6. Hop a plane to a foreign country.
    7. Hop a plane to a destination in your current country.
    8. Screw planes, trains are better!
    9. Try to take over the world.
    10. Continue Klatsching. It's the best part of my day!

      11. Take a walk.

      ;-)

I think so, Brain, but where are we going to find enough wallpaper to cover Minnesota?

Are you kidding me? We're all adults here – what else would we do but......

      Take a Nap!

      May 17, 2011 at 3:28 pm |
    • JBJingles@EG

Brighten up sunshine! :) To answer the poll, #6 – hop a flight to a foreign country for me! Say, Italy, Venice to be exact. Get lost in the world, alone. 2nd choice would be #7 to Hawaii or NYC.

      May 17, 2011 at 5:27 pm |
      • Truth@JBJ

I could do NYC...Would even buy dinner. Maybe stop in to see the folks.

You're on! If I win the lotto, I'll let you know the when/where... Actually trying to arrange a trip in Sept. for a NE cruise...

        May 17, 2011 at 5:38 pm |
      • Truth@JBJ

By NE, do you mean New England? The coast is nice at that time of year, but October in New England is just great. Love the foliage.

I want a shower. It's odd the things that become treats nowadays.

    May 17, 2011 at 3:15 pm |
    • Mare@Tazer

I fully understand. Go get your self some curad cast protectors from Walgreen's. I know they don't look like they would work, but they really do. You will LOVE your 1st shower – believe me!

      May 17, 2011 at 3:25 pm |
    • Tazer@Mare

Ohhhh it's been 15 days, you bet your buttons I've had quite a few showers! Garbage bag with Gorilla Tape seems to work perfectly! I would be so gross if I hadn't showered yet ;)

      May 17, 2011 at 3:28 pm |
      • Mare@Tazer

I was on sponge baths for 3 or 4 weeks. I was non-weight bearing, no stairs, no nothing!!! It was so gross to not be able to bathe like a grown up, but like an infant... I'm just glad they make so many good products for the bed-bound now, at least I didn't smell. LOL

        May 17, 2011 at 3:41 pm |
      • Tazer@Mare

I got a shower chair cause I can't WB either. I just couldn't stomach the idea of not bathing for that long. :)
