While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday and the most delicious finds on TV.

Three ingredients: one feast. February 7 is National Fettuccine Alfredo Day.

The famous pasta dish is said to have been created in Rome’s Alfredo alla Scrofa in 1907. Though there are many variations, all you really need to make a basic fettuccine alfredo is fettuccine noodles, unsalted butter and Parmesan cheese. Add proteins, veggies and spices as you see fit.

And please, try to keep the slurping to a minimum.

What's on TV?

“Rachael Ray Show” – Check local listings
Rachael’s Waffle Week starts with brownie waffles covered in strawberries and cream.

“My Blueberry Nights” – HBOSGe, 12:15 p.m. ET
A Manhattan waitress leaves a set of keys with the owner of a small café, eating blueberry pie while waiting for her cheating boyfriend to pick them up.

“Paula’s Best Dishes” – Food Network, 6 p.m. ET
Paula cooks up chocolate explosion cheesecake and chocolate cream puffs with hazelnut filling.

“Cake Boss” – TLC, 9 p.m. ET
Buddy takes the bakery fishing to get inspiration for a shark cake.

“Unique Eats” – Cooking Channel, 10 p.m. ET
The coolest ice cream ever: bourbon and cornflakes or grilled pineapple, anyone?

(Editors' Note: The above photo is perhaps our favorite stock image of all time. It screams equal parts "Fettuccine for the lady?" and "Blue Steel." We couldn't NOT share.)

Sarah and I have an ongoing joke about this picture. We call it "linguine for the lady?"
