The rest of the day is gonna be all S.510 and policy wonkery, so we're taking our giggles where we can get 'em.

But seriously - it makes us super-cranky when someone tries to shrink our sausage.*

Jdizz congrats on Day 9. There is a quote ...which I'll probably screw up but it seems apropos. "A jouney of a thousand miles, starts with one step" You made the hardest step already, I'm really, really proud of you. You never know just on here who you may have inspired to do the same for themselves. Good luck and take care of yourself. xoxoxo

'Morning bro...Hope you are safely back from the sunshine state with WD.
BTW, the bacon wrapped tenderloin was GREAT last night. Any suggestions for tonight's choice of either shrimp or chicken? got both in the fridge...

Waiting to load in Plant City. I think WD and I can pick our noses faster than these guys can pick oranges. Gotta do Shrimp tonight.

Gotta try uzo soaked shrimp!. I do a big Greek feast end of the summer and this is one of the biggest hits. Equal parts olive oil, lemon juic and uzo, throw in a little crushed garlic and let it sit at least an hour. I usually grill them, but I'm sure eyou could do in the oven too.

      • Truth@Biddle

Actually, there is a pretty good liquor store near my office, so I will make a run later. Any particular brand of Uzo? I have a grill pan at home which should work. Will keep you posted. Thx!

      • Sir Biddle

I can't remember the brand as we usually finished the bottle during the meal. I'd go mid-range but nothing too pricy.

Going good. Ass loads of meetings everyday, almost all day. (an assload is more than a peck but less than a bushel). They take us shopping once a week, we have Internet access and they let us keep our phones, so I have my trusty iPhizzle, which is what I am currently using to post. A day pass is available after 7 days of stay. Pretty linient here, a place for those that WANT to be here. I have access to the outside world, get discharged Dec 16. They keep us pretty busy, which is good. Been monitoring the blogs here, just didn't feel like posting until recently. There's a little bit of a funk you go through after the withdrawal stage. I feel good. 9th day of sobriety today. ;)

        Gotta go, next meeting starting.
