@Truth we have just become a sedentary society. I think with school lunches it's the amount and type of pre-packaged,over processed foods kids are taking in. There are vending machines, uber caffeinated drinks,sugar laden everything. The kids eat this junk at school,then in a lot of cases go home to the same things being prepared for them at home...if an actual meal at all is being prepared. I agree that school lunches need revamping...and soon.

I am not convinced this is a school lunch issue. I ate school lunches back int he stone age, but I also ran track, had a paper route and was active. I think that is the real key. Playing video games is no substitute for riding a bike for five miles each day.
