While you're frying up some eggs and bacon, we're cooking up something else: a way to celebrate today's food holiday and the most delicious finds on TV. November 18 is National Vichyssoise Day. Though the name is French, Vichyssoise was invented at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New York City in 1917. Louis Diat, a Frenchman and the head chef of the Ritz, named his creation after the town he was born in. Vichyssoise is a soup made of puréed leeks and potatoes, cream and chicken stock. Like revenge, Vichyssoise is a soup best served cold. What's on TV? “Food Paradise” – Travel Channel, 4 p.m. ET “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” – Disney Channel, 8 p.m. ET “Healthy Decadence with Devin Alexander” – FitTV, 8 p.m. ET “Iron Chef America” – Food Network, 9 p.m. ET |

Since I am in last place in this game ,I have enrolled Wonder Dog in typing class at my local community college. Sigh-one day we will be #1.
You three are now an offical reason for my workday procrastination rate increasing. If I wasn't on the east coast, I'd try to get in on the 5@5 game you all have going.
We're bad influences.
I guess birds of a feather flock together.
On a different note, do you know where Lake Arbutus in Black River Falls is, spent my summers there watersking?
Nope. But I know where Black River Falls is. I've only lived in the area for about a year. Moved here from Alaska
Had to look up how to pronounce that, vish-ee-swahz. Without knowing it's soup, sounds like something Jdizz would be gettin' up in to. :)
Probably has already. Watch out for lumps!
Grisled Lumps? (The Ladies Man)
Either they got pretty hammered or they are still trying to figure out how to use IReport.
'Morning all, beauty of a day in DEN...busy day ahead.
Cold down here, had to wrap Wonder Dog around my neck.
This looks like something Sarah might try this morning because of "brain pong" if she is still alive!
Yeah, I saw that she had put that on Twitter. Not that I use Twitter, just saw it on the side bar somewhere on here.
Ah yes, Thursday morning. Lots of out-of-the-office stuff to do today. Yay!
Feeling better today?
Yep! Was just a harsh Monday and a tired Tuesday. Yesterday was crazy at work, real busy as I was the only one in.
