Well, I'll be spammed! - November 9 is National Scrapple Day. Scrapple is similar to the cultishly loved canned meat in more ways than one. The mush is made from pork scraps and trimmings and is formed into a semi-solid loaf. Often, it is coated with flour and fried in butter or oil. The meaty loaf is generally eaten for breakfast, alongside eggs, potatoes or pancakes. It can also be topped with apple butter, mustard and honey, along with any other condiments that pique your fancy. Pop a few slices on some bread and enjoy a Scrapple sandwich.
