I'm a "religious fanatic" who can't stand these "save the planet" nutjobs.. The planet earth would more likely shake humanity off like a bad case of fleas rather than be affected by our existence.

When I was a kid, there was a problem with the ozone hole and the world would melt in the next 20 years. 30 years later there is a problem with the ozone hole and we will melt in the next 20 years.

I have a problem when people take enviromentalism to the extreme of sounding more like religious fanatics. What's particularly distasteful of these enviro nutjob individuals is that according to them, we are all "environmentally irresponsible" ( and those are the more moderates )... or we are all "a plague that destroys everything we touch" ( according to the more nutty ones ). The point is... you just can't make these nuts happy. Mind you that 30 years later, we haven't melted and that was supposed to have happened 10 years ago.

Might want to bring your own plate. Eating food on recycled paper oftentimes has BPA in it (from the inks of recycled receipts that end up contaminating the whole batch).

That being said, far more interested in the concept of veggie fast food than I am by it's carbon footprint. And I turn deaf when I hear about rich people talking about carbon footprints, when their's is ALWAYS bigger than a T. Rex. See the homes of people like John Edwards and Al Gore, or the concert entourage of Sheryl Crowe for reference.

It is being nice to just say this is definition of stupidity. I believe in stewardship of all resources , but to believe we can alter earth one way or another is the heigth of arrogance and the creator has to be laughing.

What they don't tell you is that the owners have a newly built multi million dollar mansion in Australia. So much for caring about their carbon foot print. Phonies!

I like your point. I find it very obnoxious to put up with the arrogance, ignorance and general stupidity of extreme environmentalists. I think this restaurant serves them well.... it is selling them what they believe is a product that will save the earth... but the proceeds go to pay for a gigantic multi million dollar mansion that is anything but "eco-friendly". I love the owners.... nothing feels better than making suckers out of people who call you names for no reason at all.

I have a news flash – We ALL have some degree of negative impact on the environment. The only way to have NO impact is to simply kill yourself, which in the case of most liberals would be no great loss at all.

Sure – with no Social Security, no Public Schools, no employer responsibility for safety, etc. we could have a perfect Feudal Society!

This is a perfect example of liberal thinking

Neat idea, and good for those who want to be environmentally responsible. But it would annoy the crap out of me if every time I ordered something, they listed how I was saving the world with a sandwich. But I like the idea of the restaurant.
