Every weekday, we're highlighting a local or regional blogger we think you ought to know about. We can’t be everywhere at once, so we look to these passionate eaters, cooks and writers to keep us tapped into every facet of the food world. Consider this a way to get to know a blog’s taste buds, because, well, you should.

Meet today's featured bloggers and blog:
Who: Adam Winer and Laura Leu, the Navigeaters
Where: New York City, New York
Twitter: @Navigeaters

We are two writers who plan to travel the world — just as soon as the world gets more cooperative with its travel pricing. Or we grow wings. Until then, we’ve launched this quest: to eat a meal from every country on Earth without leaving New York.

So far, we’ve eaten spit-roasted guinea pig at an Ecuadorian restaurant. We've witnessed an awe-inspiring tea-pulling ceremony at a Malaysian joint. We even sat through an hour-long church service preached entirely in Finnish just to sample a pastry.

And with every meal, we end up learning something about a country's history and traditions. So we may not have the bankroll to travel the world, but we figured out how to make the world come to us. This is our non-travelogue.

Do you read a local blog that you'd like to see featured? Send 'em our way for a chance in the spotlight.
