5@5 is a daily, food-related list from chefs, writers, political pundits, musicians, actors and all manner of opinionated people from around the globe.

Graham Elliot is the chef and owner of Graham Elliot in Chicago. He was named one of Food & Wine Magazine's Best New Chefs in 2004 and later became the nation's youngest four star chef. He also recently competed on Bravo's "Top Chef Masters.

Since 2009, the music-minded chef has teamed up with the three-day music festival, Lollapalooza, to oversee all things culinary for the head-banging masses.

Top Five Albums to Cook To: Graham Elliot

1. Girl Talk, Feed the Animals
"This record is quite similar in nature to how we approach cooking at Graham Elliot: taking known sections of songs (the ingredients, if you will) and deconstructing them to create something new. Ultimately, the final product is as good as or even better than the original."

2. Guns N' Roses, Appetite for Destruction
"What can I say? Sometimes during a busy night in the restaurant, we've got to break this out for that extra adrenaline rush. 'You know where you are?!? You're in the jungle baby ... you're gonna dddddiiiiieeeee!!!!!' ...'Nuff said."

3. Prince, Purple Rain
"Sometimes when this is playing, things can get dangerous. You don't know whether to cut, chop, sauté, dance or simply try to f@%k the hell out of something! Prince's music makes people do crazy stuff: proceed with caution, and don't say I didn't warn you."

4. The Misfits, Static Age
"A collection of some of this seminal band's greatest work. Each song clocks in at around two minutes, and Danzig's crooning (a mix of Jim Morrison and Elvis?!) about Martians and killing is either funny or disturbing, depending on your mood at the time."

5. Portishead, Dummy
"Creepy James Bond-esque music with vocals that are equal parts sassy, spooky and sad. This is a great album to prep to as you get in the zone and learn to embrace the sometimes monotonous nature of your work."

Is there someone you'd like to see in the hot seat? Let us know in the comments below, and if we agree, we'll do our best to chase 'em down.

Listening to a Prince album makes this nut want to screw something or someone while he's cooking my food. No thanks.

If just listening to a song makes you "do crazy stuff" and you're over the age of 15, I think you should cut back on your meds.....

And oh yeah, could people please stop getting their entire bodies tattoed, it really is stupid, especially when you're trying to look all intellectual.....

Awesome – go ahead and ignore Graham Elliott's cooking due to your ridiculous closemindedness. One less person waiting in line at his restaurant. One less person I have to listen to while I'm enjoying an amazing meal. Please stay away from his restaurant, so we don't have to put up with people like you.
